Nuclear & Power Generation

Badger Valves play an important part in Nuclear & Power Generation in Nuclear, Coal and Gas fired power stations

Steam turbines have multiple stages and Badger valves are used to ensure that there is no leakage.  Preventing leakage from one stage to the next is effected by maintaining a flow of steam in the gland seals and surrounding area.

Badger control and metering valves are also used to add inhibitors to prevent the formation of scale.

Common applications/uses for Badger in Nuclear, Gas and Coal Power generation include, pilot plants, dosing, steam (process and services), chemical dosing, hydrocarbons, hazardous liquids, toxic liquids, power plants, boiler feed, high pressure control, high temperature control, additive/inhibitor injection, acids, alkalis and zero fugitive emission
